The Vintage Remedies Master Herbalist program prepares aspiring herbalists to enter the field of herbalism fully equipped with the training and experience necessary for success. By combining the art and science of natural medicine, our clinical Master Herbalists learn how to observe, distinguish and prevent susceptibilities and patterns of disease using a holistic model of care. This whole person, integrative approach is necessary to the understanding of effective herbal medicine.
This program is ideal for those desiring to pursue careers as clinical herbalists, for licensed medical practitioners ready to enter the field of integrative medicine, and for individuals aspiring to become a recognized professionals in the field of herbal medicine.
The program includes 42 additional units, covering all aspects of education necessary to become a competent herbalist. An emphasis is placed on relevant, current health concerns and up to date scientific evidence, placing our graduates at the cutting edge of the field! With a combined total of 1800 hours, our program is one of the most thorough and comprehensive available. These hours provide education in the following areas:
• Anatomy and Physiology: 44 hours • Pathology and Biochemistry: 70 hours • Medical Terminology: 35 hours • Botany and Plant Identification: 45 hours • Materia Medica: 184 hours • Therapeutic Herbalism: 142 hours • Pharmacy and Dispensing: 38 hours • Pharmacognosy: 27 hours • Clinical Skills: 370 hours • Career Preparation / Practice Development: 40 hours • History and Philosophy: 40 hours
Our study topics also include kinesiology, environmental health, traditional diets, biblical herbs, epidemiology, recognition and reversal of nutritional deficiencies, psychoneuroimmunology, and much more.

*The optional “Clinical Master Herbalist” track includes admission to any one of our clinical skills workshops, a one year membership to the American Herbalists Guild, an additional case studies workbook to prepare for clinical practice, and our mentorship program, which provides valuable clinical skills hours necessary for independent practice. This is not required of our Master Herbalist graduates, but is highly suggested for those planning to go into professional practice or applying for admission to the AHG. Enrollment in the Master Herbalist program is $325 with 9 monthly payments of $105 OR $1150 when paid in full (save $120).
