Our Family Herbalist program is one of the most comprehensive and thorough family herbalist programs available. This “herbology 101” course takes a whole person, integrative approach to the modern health concerns the average family is likely to face, matching them with evidence based and time tested ancient medicine. Featuring prevention, herbal preparations, aromatherapy, and a lengthy materia medica, our Family Herbalist program teaches students how to care for their families using reliable and effective natural medicine from a Biblical perspective. It also serves to prepare the serious student for one of our advanced programs suitable for a clinical practice or professional career.

This intensive program is divided into 26 topical units and provides 360 study hours to the learner. It can be finished in a year by completing one unit each two weeks. The 360 hours of study are obtained in the following areas:

• Anatomy and Physiology: 24 hours
• Pathology and Biochemistry: 34 hours
• Nutrition: 40 hours
• Botany and Plant Identification: 18 hours
• Materia Medica: 68 hours
• Therapeutic Herbalism: 46 hours
• Pharmacognosy and Dispensing: 50 hours
• Clinical Skills: 54 hours
• Practice Development / Ethics: 12 hours
• History and Philosophy: 14 hours

Upon admission, each student will receive:

Enrollment in the Family Herbalist program is $160 with 5 monthly payments of $65 OR $435 when paid in full (save $50).
